Blue Star Sting is a set of programs with tools for the visualization and analysis of protein structures. Such programs are gathered in a pack with the aim of offering a complete tool set for macromolecule studies. One can easily obtain information such as the position of amino acid sequences and structures, patterns, identification of neighborhoods, hydrogen bonds, and angles and distances between atoms. Moreover, given on the nature and the volume of inter and intrachain atomic contacts in proteins, the conservation and relation between intrachain contacts and their functional parameters can be obtained. Sting uses both public databases and proprietary databases
