Enter multiple e-mails separated by comma.

Since October 10, the researcher from Embrapa Soils (Rio de Janeiro, RJ) Margareth Simões has been in Kiev, Ukraine, where she is participating in scientific meetings on agricultural satellite monitoring at the Scientific Council of the National Technical University and at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The top scientists who specialize in the subject are participating in such meetings.

The researcher participated in a workshop by the Joint Experiment for Crop Assessment and Monitoring (JECAM), where she discussed Brazilian participation, presenting the methods that were applied and the results obtained from the studies at the JECAM sites in Brazil (São Paulo and Tocantins), within the scope of the Geo ABC project, among others.

"My participation in JECAM is the result of the coordination efforts from the time I was in Montpellier (France), at Maison de Teledetection, because of the Labex Embrapa mission in Europa", Margareth reveals. Nowadays, JECAM is embodied by the GeoABC Project - Methodologies and technological innovation for the satellite monitoring of low carbon agriculture to support Brazil's Low Carbon Agriculture Plan, a French-Brazilian project coordinated by Embrapa Soils.

Margareth also participated in the GeoGlam (Global Agricultural Monitoring Initiative) meetings and in the panel ‘Estimulando Inovação para o Monitoramento Global da Agricultura'. By her return on October 24, she will have participated in meetings about the state of the art and the treatment of data from the new satellite Sentinel 2 and from SentinelAgri, which are especially important for agricultural monitoring.
