The objective of this project was to promote a wide discussion between specialists from Embrapa and the company Casa dos Ventos to identify and systematize weaknesses, strengths and opportunities in the generation of energy using biogas produced by the fermentation of grasses grown in Roraima. Embrapa has expertise in the environmental, economic and agricultural conditions of Roraima, about the species that can be used for the production of biomass to be used in fermentation processes and in the development of technologies that could assist Casa dos Ventos in the choice of methods and in the optimization of gas production through fermenters. Casa dos Ventos participated in the auction, promoted by the federal government, to supply energy to Boa Vista and locations connected to the National Interconnected System.
