Integration os processes in the biogas production chain using fruits and vegetables residues anda oil palm effluents as subtrates.
The project aims to establish the best process conditions to maximize methane production for two substrates with high potential for biogas production, which are vegetable waste and palm oil production effluent (POME) and obtaining of synthesis gas from vegetable and POME biogas using as catalysts mixed oxides of Ni-Mg-Al enriched with praseodymium, continuing the work developed with simulated biogas. Another expected delivery is the characterization of the microbial community for correlation with the production of biogas, aiming at the development of customized inoculants for the high-efficiency biodigestion of agricultural and agro-industrial residues. In addition, solid waste will be characterized regarding the composition of micro and macronutrients and contaminants for application as fertilizer, as well as the quality of the water after the biodigestion process regarding its chemical composition.
