Ecological alternatives may contribute to the attainment of sustainability of productive family units through the balanced use of natural resources in the Amazon. Among these viable alternatives, stand out in the Amazon the initiatives of land preparation without the use of fire, such as the Tipitamba Project, the Roça without Fires Project, Agroforest Systems and agroecological alternatives practiced by the region's farmers. The availability of knowledge and practices through the training of enabling agents might contribute to the sustainable development and the strengthening of family farming, with social inclusion. Therefore, it is necessary to organize, train, implement and monitor the existing agro-ecological alternatives, emphasizing system management without the use of fires.

Thus, the Rio Capim Pole and the communities in Igarapé Açu e Marapanim (Pará) represent strategic regions for the implementation of these activities. The goal of this project is to offer the implantation of selected genetic material of forest species with energy-timber use indicated for the recuperation of degraded areas in the Amazon, in the hopes of contributing to the conservation of known forest genetic material.
