Summary: Resumo: Objetivou-se avaliar o desenvolvimento de plantas de milheto em solo degradado, sob adubação com leguminosas. Os tratamentos consistiam em três resíduos de leguminosas, duas formas de aplicação e um tratamento adicional sem aplicação de leguminosas. Foram analisados os parâmetros: altura da planta, diâmetro do colmo, número de folhas, área foliar e medida indireta de clorofila. O uso do resíduo de catingueira e jurema moídos e de sabiá não moído favoreceram o aumento da área foliar de milheto. [Cultivation of millet forage fertilized with residues of legumes in degraded soil]. Abstract: The aim of this study was to evaluate the development of plants of millet in degraded soil, under fertilizing with legumes. The treatments consisted of three residues of legumes, two forms of application and an additional treatment without application of legumes. The following parameters were analyzed: plant height, diameter of the stem, number of leaves, leaf area and indirect measurement of chlorophyll. The use of the residue of Poincianella pyramidalis and Mimosa tenuiflora milled and Mimosa caesalpiniaefolia unground favored the increase in leaf area of pearl millet.
