Summary: he Midwest region?s weather is characterized by high temperatures, rainfall and sun radiation for 6 months of the year. Although the vegetal production is stimulated by high availability of growth factors, the animal production is harmed by heat stress in livestock, mainly dairy cattle (Alves et al, 2012).
