Summary: O Panicum maximum é uma forrageira de alta estacionalidade de produção, ou seja, de alta produção na época das águas e baixa produção na época seca. A espécie também apresenta rápido alongamento dos colmos quando mal manejada perdendo assim sua qualidade e dificultando o manejo animal quando em pastejo.
