Summary: During two consecutive dry seasons (August 2016 and July 2017), severe powdery mildew (PM) symptoms were observed on three field-grown chicory cultivars in Brasília-Federal District (DF), Brazil. White, circular colonies with profuse sporulation (mainly on the adaxial leaf surface) were observed at the onset of the disease
