Summary: Resumo: Avaliou-se a influência da substituição do farelo de soja (FS) pela torta de mamona destoxificada (TMD) sobre o consumo de matéria seca e demais nutrientes por cabritas Saanen e Anglo-nubiana. Foram utilizadas três dietas, uma à base de FS e as demais com torta de mamona destoxificada por hidróxido de cálcio (Ca(OH)2 ) e hidróxido de sódio (NaOH). Houve efeito (P<0,05) das dietas sobre o consumo MS e nutrientes, sendo que as cabras que consumiram TMD NaOH apresentaram menores valores. Dry matter intake and other nutrients by goats kids fed detoxified castor cake in the growth phase Abstract: The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of the substitution of soybean meal (SM) by detoxified castor cake (DCC) on dry matter intake and other nutrients by goats kids Saanen and Anglo-nubian. We used three diets, one with the base of SM and the other with detoxified castor cake by calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2 ) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH). There was no effect (P<0,05) of diets on the intake DM and nutrients, being that the goats fed DCC NaOH showed lower values.
