Summary: Resumo: Objetivou-se analisar, a partir da técnica de micro histologia fecal, o índice de seletividade das espécies vegetais selecionadas por ovinos em pasto de caatinga raleada e enriquecida. Dezesseis ovelhas da raça Somalis brasileira foram acompanhadas durante o período das águas (abril), transição (junho) e seca (agosto). Das 33 plantas identificadas na dieta dos animais, seis foram as mais selecionadas. Centrosema sp. e W. rostrata apresentaram alta seleção nos períodos avaliados. Abstract: The objective of this study was to analyze the selectivity index of the plant species selected by sheep in thinned and enriched caatinga pasture using the fecal micro histology technique. Sixteen Brazilian Somalis sheep were followed during the water period (April), transition (June) and dry (August). Of the 33 plants identified in the diet of the animals, six were the most selected. Centrosema sp. and W. rostrata presented high selection in the evaluated periods
