Summary: A large part of farm properties have low levels of productivity, therefore estimate the herbage mass is essential for the proper planning, moreover, properly quantify the forage mass will provide appropriate information on the fertilization of forage produced or loss levels, which are important factors in determining the production system. This literature review covered the most used evaluation methods.
