Summary: The 2030 Agenda guides the planning of actions and public policies so that Brazil can effectively reach sustainable development. Its foundations lay on the three pillars of sustainability. Thus, the economic and social pillars were derived from MDGs, and the environmental pillar from Agenda 21. In addition, as part of a more ambitious effort to fulfill aims that demand greater focus, the institutional vision focusing on partnerships for target implementation was included.
