Summary: Pestalotioid species (Pestalotiopsis, Pseudopestalotiopsis and Neopestalotiopsis) cause extremely damaging diseases in a wide range of hosts across the word. Recently, pestalotioid strains isolated from damaged guarana leaf tissue were subject to morphological and molecular characterization.
