Summary: A espécie de maracujá Passiflora auriculata Kunth apresenta uma grande rusticidade e tem uma beleza singular, devido principalmente às suas folhas de formato bem diferenciado, flores delicadas inseridas ao longo dos ramos e frutos pequenos, de coloração forte e polpa saborosa e aromática. Nos campos experimentais é conhecida como maracujájaboticaba e maracujá-café.
