Summary: RESUMO: Objetivou-se avaliar a altura de planta de seis gramíneas submetidas a diferentes lâminas de irrigação e estações do ano. O experimento foi conduzido no sistema de pastejo em esquema de parcelas subsubdivididas, tendo nas parcelas seis gramíneas (Xaraés, Mombaça, Tanzânia, Pioneiro, Marandu e Estrela Africana), nas subparcelas seis lâminas de irrigação (0%, 18%, 45%, 77%, 100% e 120% da referência) e nas subsubparcelas as estações (outono/inverno e primavera/verão). Para diferenciar a aplicação das lâminas de irrigação, utilizou-se o sistema por aspersão em linha. Os capins Pioneiro, seguido do Xaraés apresentaram maiores e o Marandu menor altura de planta. A estação primavera/verão proporcionou maior altura de planta. Na estação primavera/verão, com exceção dos capins Pioneiro e Estrela, as lâminas de irrigação proporcionaram redução na altura de planta. ABSTRACT: It was aimed to evaluate the plant height of six grasses handled under grazing system, submitted to different seasons and irrigations depth. The experiment was conducted in a split-split plot design. Six grasses (Xaraes, Mombaça, Tanzania, Pioneiro, Marandu and Estrela) constituted the plots, six irrigation depths (0%, 18%, 45%, 77%, 100% and 120% of the reference) the split-plots, and two seasons (autumn/winter and spring/summer) the split-split-plots. To vary the application of irrigation depths it was used the line source sprinkler system. The Pioneiro grass followed by Xaraes presented the largest plant heights, and Marandu presented the smallest plant height. The plant heights presented in the spring/summer season were larger than in the autumn/winter season. In the spring/summer season, the irrigation depths caused reduction in plant height, except for Pioneiro and Estrela grasses.
