Summary: Resumo: Objetivando investigar a existência de anticorpos anti-lentivírus de pequenos ruminantes em rebanhos caprinos da Micro-Região do Alto-Médio Gurguéia, realizou-se um levantamento sorológico, envolvendo 723 animais. Para a detecção de anticorpos anti-lentivírus foi utilizado o teste de Microimudifusão em Gel de Agarose (MIDGA). Os resultados revelaram uma prevalência geral de 0,97% de animais positivos. Portanto, as Lentiviroses de Pequenos Ruminantes estão presentes em rebanhos caprinos da Micro-Região do Alto-Médio Gurguéia, no Sul do Estado do Piauí. Abstracts: Aiming to investigate the existence of antibodies to small ruminant lentivirus in goat herds in the Micro-Region of the Upper-Middle Gurguéia, there was a serological survey involving 723 animals. For the detection of anti-lentivirus antibodies was used the Micro-agar gel immunodiffusion test (MAGID). The results revealed an overall prevalence of 0.97% of positive animals. Therefore, Small Ruminants Lentiviruses are present in goat herds of the Micro-Region of the Upper-Middle Gurguéia in the southern state of Piaui.
