Summary: Use of non-castrated (NC) males for red meat production has been a common practice in Brazil because they grow fast, utilize feed more efficiently and show high-yielding and leaner carcasses when compared with castrated males (CM). The objective of this work was to investigate the effects of sex condition and frame size (FS) on feedlot performance and carcass traits of finishing Bos indicus steers and bulls.
