Summary: O estudo foi realizado com o objetivo de avaliar as características da carcaça de capivaras de vida livre. Para isto foram utilizadas cinco capivaras (2 machos e 3 fêmeas), com peso corporal médio/desvio-padrão de 63,4 kg/100 kg ± 10,25 kg, provenientes de áreas agrícolas da Região da Grande Dourados (MS).
