This is a platform with numerical and cartographic data from all over Brazil regarding agricultural production and its flow through the national territory to meet the domestic market and export demands. More than 500,000 interactive maps can be generated using the tool, revealing where production is concentrated, the main ports used for exports, the paths taken to reach them, and the storage structure available. The Strategic Territorial Intelligence System makes it possible to carry out various studies on the macrologistics of ten of the main Brazilian agricultural products: cotton, poultry, cattle, coffee, sugarcane, orange, wood for paper and cellulose, corn, soybeans, and pigs. The information gathered makes it possible to assess the situation of the infrastructure for outflow, identify current investment priorities and project future demands.

Economic and social benefits

Logistical efficiency is a decisive factor for competitiveness in any segment, especially in the case of commodities. Reducing transportation costs and time, as well as having warehouses to balance supply and demand, can improve the placement of Brazilian products in the international market and even the supply of local industries, with an impact on the remuneration of the entire production chain. By making it possible to cross-reference different variables, SITE- MLog supports public policy and private sector initiatives to improve logistics and, consequently, the competitiveness of each of the logistic basins focused on national agricultural production. It can also promote a positive environmental impact and inform the adoption of means of transportation with lower greenhouse gas emissions.
