The BRS Capiaçu App is an app for mobile phones and tablets that gathers information about the BRS Capiaçu elephant grass cultivar. This forage grass is grown in all Brazilian regions and is also suitable for adoption in neighboring countries in Latin America. The variety is versatile, can be used in troughs or as silage, and its yield is 30% higher than that of other cultivars available in the market, generating about 50 tons of dry matter per hectare per year. The app contains technical information to guide farmers on the best use of the forage grass, how to plant it, silage production, and other information. It also indicates where to purchase seedlings and provides access to services offered by Embrapa related to the dairy production chain.
