Cultivar BRS Jacana is a bread class wheat (ideal for baking the traditional Brazilian mini-baguette they call 'French roll'), which has characteristics such as white flour, early cycle, hard grain, moderately resistant to lodging. Its grain yield and production stability, considering all regions in Brazil it is recommended for, combined with its well-defined and stable technological quality, provide farmers and industry with a new profitable option of wheat for breadmaking. Recommended regions in Brazil: regions 1, 2 and 3 of Paraná; 1 and 2 of Santa Catarina and region 2 of São Paulo. Please note that the average characteristics depend on edaphoclimatic conditions, so always look for an agronomist.

This technological solution was developed by Embrapa in partnership with other institution(s).
