Mapas de classificação do risco de ocorrência de psilídeo nas regiões abrangidas pelo Alerta Fitossanitário mantido pelo Fundecitrus
Classification maps of the risk of occurrence of psyllid in the regions covered by the Phytosanitary Alert maintained by Fundecitrus

The risks shown on the maps are calculated based on the occurence of psyllids (Diaphorina citri) in yellow sticky traps distributed along the in the monitored regions. The system (Alerta Phytosanitary) monitors the psyllid population fluctuation, vector insect of the Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus bacterium associated with Huanglongbing (HLB), the main citrus disease in Brazil and worldwide.
This system covers regions in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais ('Triângulo Mineiro') and Paraná and is hosted and managed by the Fund for Citrus Protection (Fundecitrus). The Phytosanitary Alert is supplied fortnightly with D. citri population data in more than 30,000 georeferenced yellow sticky traps.
The project associated to this technology developed, based on mathematical criteria, maps that classify the regions into four risks of psyllid occurrence (low, medium, high and extreme) every fortnight and uses the time series of D. citri occurrence in each region.
The maps that indicate the risk of occurrence of psyllid are already available for users and citrus growers on the website https://www.fundecitrus.com.br/alerta-fitosanitario and are useful for monitoring the vector population every fortnight in each region, to determine the regions with the highest and lowest occurrence of the insect and also as a useful criterion for issuing alerts to citrus growers for joint and regional management of D. citri populations. Therefore, it is a very useful tool in the HLB management.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Useful for the management of huanglongbing (HLB), the main citrus disease in Brazil and worldwide;
- The vector population is monitored every fortnight and in each region;
- This system covers regions in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais (Triângulo Mineiro) and Paraná.
This technological solution was developed by Embrapa in partnership with other institution(s).
