BRS Conquista is a banana cultivar that is resistant to black sigatoka, Panama disease and yellow sigatoka, and that is tolerant to nematodes. It has high productivity and can reach 48 tons per hectare per year. This banana variety is obtained from the somaclonal variation of the Thap Maeo cultivar. The ripe fruits have light yellow peel, cream-colored pulp, good balance of sugars/acids, pleasant and striking aroma, and, most notably, high yield due to the high pulp-to-peel ratio.
