The Network on Nanotechnology applied to Agribusiness was implemented in 2006 and has already completed two cycles as a Network Project. The new cycle intends to advance in the existing knowledge and actions, contributing to the understanding of the processes of upscaling the production of nanoproducts, thus meeting the need to evaluate, quantify and estimate the ability to produce nanomaterials that have been successfully produced in lab activities, whose processes need to be adequately planned

In order to have the country keep growing and to open new markets, some sectors still require value aggregation to their products, which can only be achieved through the continuous incorporation of new technologies. In special, the quality and certification of agricultural products, biotechnology, agroenergy, environmental monitoring, new uses of agricultural products, precision agriculture and traceability, the inputs (fertilizers, pesticides) industry, innovation in medicine for veterinary use
