In recent years, there has been a tremendous advance in the frontier of knowledge in advanced biology. The impacts of this advance can be observed in the areas of molecular and cellular biology, with the mastery of gene engineering techniques, which led to the cloning of animal cells in the early 2000s, unprecedented in Brazil, and more recently to the emergence of new Areas of science, such as nanotechnology, epigenetics and genomics, among others. The project seeks to incorporate these advances in the technical approach and in the creation of innovative solutions to problems related to biotechnology and animal reproduction, by integrating three cutting edge areas: cloning and stem cells; Animal transgenesis and nanobiotechnology.
