Improvement of poultry production in Ethiopia
The characterization of alternative poultry production systems and its value chain is going to allow the identification of potential threats that affect the survival and productivity of fowl populations and provide opportunities for interventions in such systems.
This project is going to study alternative poultry production systems in the entire value chain from production to trade, and the diversity of the flocks in selected regions of Ethiopia. Moreover, it will identify the main challenges for extension services, technology transfer, information flow and coordination among the people concerned in this production segment in the Ethiopia.
