Network on Nanotechnology applied to Agribusiness - Stage III

Enter multiple e-mails separated by comma.

The Network on Nanotechnology applied to Agribusiness was implemented in 2006 and has already completed two cycles as a Network Project. The new cycle intends to advance in the existing knowledge and actions, contributing to the understanding of the processes of upscaling the production of nanoproducts, thus meeting the need to evaluate, quantify and estimate the ability to produce nanomaterials that have been successfully produced in lab activities, whose processes need to be adequately planned for future commercial production. The project also aims to contribute to preparing teams and infrastructure for compliance to international standards of toxicological safety, ecotoxicological and public perception assessments, considering that the current scenario of nanotechnological development has shown that regulatory frameworks will be inevitable in the short term. Finally, it also aims to contribute to the process of renewing research in nanotechnology, prospecting new pathways for the area, potential applications and adding themes of great importance that have not been duly organized yet in the portfolio of projects in Nanotechnology. The Project has maintained the team and infrastructure established in the previous cycles, preventing the dispersion of efforts and guaranteeing Embrapa's lead in the themes concerning Nanotechnology applied to Agribusiness.
