Integration systems involving crops, livestock and forestry (ICLF) have been gaining more space in the national agricultural sector over the last few years as a sustainable alternative for the production of grains, meat and wood. In addition to economic and social sustainability, the ILPF modalities contribute to adapting and mitigating climate change, in full alignment with the ABC+ Plan, launched to achieve the agricultural sector's goals by 2030 in view of climate scenarios. The objective of this proposal is to evaluate the potential for carbon sequestration in the soil of integrated crop-livestock-forestry (ICLF) systems in the northern region of Mato Grosso. The experiment to be evaluated was implemented with 10 treatments and 4 repetitions in about 70 ha for more than 10 years, with important partial results on the effect of ILPF systems on carbon stocks. For this, trenches of one meter deep will be opened, where deformed and undeformed samples of layers of 0-10 cm will be collected; 10-20cm; 20-30cm; and 30-40 cm, 40-60 cm, 60-80 cm and 80-100 cm with 4 repetitions. Samples will be collected from an area of regional native vegetation to correct C stocks based on the reference soil mass.Having adopted the appropriate methodologies and carried out the analyses, the aim is to establish the potential of ILPF systems to sequester carbon in the soil in the conditions of the north of Mato Grosso.
