Summary: Os quintais agroflorestais consistem na associação de espécies florestais, agrícolas, medicinais, ornamentais e animais, ao redor da residência. O objetivo desse trabalho foi avaliar a ocorrência de espécies frutíferas em quintais agroflorestais de uma comunidade amazônica e sua importância sócio-econômica. O estudo foi desenvolvido no Projeto RECA, uma associação de pequenos agricultores, no Estado de Rondônia. A pesquisa baseou-se em visitas de campo e entrevistas com os produtores. Observou-se ocorrência de fruteiras nos quintais de todas as propriedades estudadas, com uma média de 14 espécies/quintal. Identificaram-se 50 espécies de frutíferas, pertencentes a 24 famílias. Duas famílias, Myrtaceae e Arecaceae, destacaram-se em número de espécies. As espécies nativas representaram 36% e as de porte arbóreo foram as predominantes (78%). As frutíferas têm importante papel nas famílias desses pequenos agricultores, contribuindo na dieta alimentar e no fornecimento de vários produtos e serviços e na renda familiar. The home gardens are an association of forest, agricultural, medicinal, ornamental and animal species, around of the residence. The objective of this work was to evaluate the occurrence of fruitful species in home gardens of an community of Amazonia and its partner-economic importance. The study was developed in Project RECA, an association of small agriculturists, in Rondônia state. The research based on field visits and interviews with agriculturists. The fruitful species had been found in all of the studied properties, with an average of 14 espécies/home garden. It was identified 50 fruitful species, belonging to 24 families. Two families, Myrtaceae and Arecaceae, had been distinguished in number of species. The native species represented 36% and the shrub species was the predominant (78%). The fruitful species contribute in the alimentary diet and the supply of some products and services, and many times, assisting in the increase of the family income.
