The bioinsecticide was developed in partnership with the company Lallemand Plant Care and its active ingredient is the fungus Cordyceps javanica (BRM27666). This is the first product with this species to be registered and can be adopted for the biological control of whiteflies ( Bemisia tabaci) in all the crops the pest affects, such as soybeans, beans, cotton, vegetables and fruits. The product demonstrated high virulence in adults and at all stages of whitefly nymphs, in addition to high capacity for sporulation in the environment, causing new infections and exterminating insect populations. The high specificity for the whitefly, combined with compatibility with various insecticides, herbicides and adjuvants used in crops, make LALGUARD JAVA an ecologically sustainable tool for integrated whitefly management.
