Cultivate free from the exocortex viroid and considered tolerant to the disease citrus variegated chlorosis (CVC) or yellowing, caused by the bacteria Xylella fastidiosa.

It has high productivity, around 40 tons per hectare. The adult plant has a rounded crown, a tall size, a circumference of around 18 m and a trunk diameter (at 30 cm from the ground) of around 20 cm when grafted onto the 'Cravo' lemon tree.

Its blooms occur throughout the year, the main one being in September. The fruit is medium in size, weighing 100 g, is juicy, seedless, oval and has an acidic flavor. The skin is smooth, with an intense and uniform green color.

It is recommended to use with dwarfing rootstocks, such as ‘Flying Dragon’ trifoliate, or semi-dwarfing rootstocks, such as citrandarin San Diego.

The Tahiti acid lime tree CNPMF 02 is a nuclear clone obtained from Embrapa Mandioca e Fruticultura via seed and evaluated for successive years in terms of productivity and tolerance to the citrus sadness virus.
