One of the main characteristics of BRS Pacovan Ken is its resistance to black Sigatoka, yellow Sigatoka and Fusarium wilt (Panama disease), the main diseases of banana crops, resulting in more sustainable and economical production due to reduction in the use of pesticides.
It stands out for its greater rusticity and productivity (30 t/ha) and has larger, sweeter and better quality fruits compared to the traditional Pacovan cultivar.
This technological solution was developed by Embrapa in partnership with other institution(s).
