The soybean cultivar BRS 7980 has yield potential with stability and early cycle - ideal for soybean/off-season corn. It belongs to the relative maturity group 7.9. It has determined growth type, white flowers with black hila, moderate resistance to lodging and average cycle of 104 to 120 days. It offers resistance to frog-eye leaf spot, bacterial pustule, stem canker, bacterial blight, cyst nematode and nematodes M. javanica and M.incognita; and moderate resistance to Phytophthora root rot and bacterial blight. BRS 7980 is recommended for the following Brazilian states and respective soil and climate regions: GO-301, GO-302, GO-304; MG-303, MG-304; BA-405, MT-401, MT-402, MT-403; DF-304 and TO-501.
