As a result of Embrapa's effort to develop biofortified products, Embrapa Corn and Sorghum makes available pro-vitamin A corn, BRS 4104, which has higher concentrations of vitamin A precursor carotenoids in grains — between 2.5 and 3.2 times higher than the values found in common corn. BRS 4104 is a variety corn cultivar with a super-early cycle.
