Vetscore is a device for evaluating the body condition of female cattle of the breeds Nelore and Angus. It is a low cost tool, reliable, simple to use and with immediate results.
The reading of the nutritional condition of the animal is indicated by colors on the Vetscore display: red (low), green (appropriate) and yellow (high). Vetscore objectively identifies females that are in unfavorable feeding conditions (red or yellow color of the Vetscore).
Thus, it allows the producer to make corrections in the feeding management seeking greater productive and financial return.
This technological solution was developed by Embrapa in partnership with other institution(s).
