The BioSemeie app was developed to control the stock of landrace seeds, contributing to the conservation of biodiversity. BioSemeie facilitates: inventory management (controls seed entries and withdrawals); cataloguing of landrace seed characteristics; monitoring of landrace seed genetic resources; storage of information from farmers participating in seed houses; search of seeds for the user. In this app, the seed house administrator has full access to the system and is able to enter information about seeds and their characteristics, such as species, colors, drought resistance and pests. The general user can access the catalogue of seeds recorded and make searches using known characteristics. BioSemeie is a free app for cell phones with the Android operating system and is accessible for all Brazilian biomes.
