SisEucalipto is a simulation software for managing, modeling, and estimating growth and production in eucalyptus plantations. It is used to plan thinnings (partial harvests that remove selected rows and/or trees) from planted forests. The program makes it possible to simulate how the eucalyptus plantation will grow and produce according to the management regimes selected by the user for the simulation, and also calculates the carbon captured by the trees. Using this software, users can test all planting management options for each climate and soil condition. This makes it possible to product wood production at present and under future conditions, perform economic analyses, and then only implement the best alternative in the stands. The results of these simulations can be used to guide rural producers with appropriate technologies for forest management and planning, providing information that can optimize production and increase income. SisEucalipto already has thousands of users, from rural family producers to large companies.
