Embrapa and partners have made the carioca bean cultivar BRSMG Madrepérola available to farmers. This cultivar stands out due to the quality of its grains, which maintain a clear color for a longer period of time than most of the grain cultivars of the carioca type on the market. Plants of the cultivar BRSMG Madrepérola are of procumbent size, of indeterminate type III growth habit, comprising low tolerance to lodging. They have resistance to common mosaic viruses, and have an intermediate reaction to anthracnose and angular spot.

For furher details, access the technical publications about this cultivar and always consult an agronomist.
