BRS 370 RF is a transgenic (GM) cultivar with resistance to the herbicide glyphosate, which is widely adapted to the Brazilian states of Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul and Bahia, for cultivation in the first and second crop season. It has mid-sized plants with medium cyclelength and medium to high requirement of growth regulator. It has a high yield potential (4,300 to 4,500 kg/ha), with 40.5% fiber yield. It is resistant to common mosaic and bacteriosis, and moderately resistant to cotton blue disease and boll rot. This technological solution was developed by Embrapa in partnership with other institutions. It is recommended to be sown in refuge areas where transgenic (GM) caterpillar-resistant cotton is grown.
