The Supply-Chain Management Plan (PLS, from the acronym in Portuguese) is an important tool for management and decision-making in Embrapa's Units, based on the planning of actions that promote sustainability practices and rationalize the use of materials and services due to their environmental, social and economic impact. PLS enables the definition of responsibilities, indicators, goals, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, dissemination, awareness and training actions, with the objective of promoting an organizational culture focused on sustainability.

Sustainability anchors Embrapa's Mission, Vision and Values and is one of the central themes in the VII Master Plan 2020-2030. Our sustainability value reinforces the  institutional position to boost socioeconomic well-being in harmony with the environment, through innovative knowledge and solutions that contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

In this context, since 2018, Embrapa has been implementing improvements in the development of corporate PLS, coordinated by the Environmental Management Supervision (GAMB) at the Integrated Management of Quality, linked to former Institutional Development Secretariat.

In 2020/2021, PLS data from Embrapa Units have been consolidated in the Environmental Management and Sustainability Data Panel in order to promote actions in the corporate management of PLS. In this sense, the PLS 2019/2020 Reports of the Units underwent a process of analysis and validation and, on 08/25/2021, we will publish the PLS Corporate Report, integrating data from the historical series 2017 to 2021 of Embrapa units, to be updated every semester.
