Brazilian dairy farming is distributed throughout the national territory, generates thousands of direct and indirect jobs and has a significant participation in the gross domestic product (GDP). The annual national milk production is estimated at more than 30 billion liters, according to the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), being concentrated in the Southeast, South and Midwest regions.
