Sugarcane is one of the pillars of the Brazilian agricultural economy. Productivity gains combined with an industrial activity developed for use in the sugar and ethanol production have led researchers to seek agroindustrial management strategies to reduce costs. This project proposes the application of diazotrophic bacteria as a biological input to fully or partially meet sugarcane's nutritional needs with regard to nitrogen. In intensive milk production systems, planning roughage supplementation is critical to the success of the activity. In Brazil the main forage conservation strategy is ensilage, in which maize is the main crop used, due to its high ensilability and silage nutritive value. However, the oscillation of input prices (fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, etc.) has increased the production costs of such crop, a fact that has been pointed out by farmers as a barrier for the economic viability of the producti Status: Completed Start date: Tue Jan 01 00:00:00 GMT-03:00 2019 |
The research proposes the use of the liquid stream of the autohydrolysis, using in the process of biodigestion, for the generation of biogas and destination of the solid stream of the organosolv process, rich in cellulose, for the process of simultaneous saccharification and fermentation, aiming at obtaining ethanol from second generation. The project also seeks to qualify the lignin obtained in the autohydrolysis and organosolv processes, aiming, in the future, to direct it to other application Status: Completed Start date: Sat Feb 01 00:00:00 GMT-03:00 2020 |
