Develop an agricultural process to adapt management practices that mitigate the effects of the presence of Fusarium wilt in banana production areas in the Chapada do Apodi region (Ceará).

The proposal presents an innovative solution, which is to validate candidate drought tolerance genes through genetic transformation (cisgeny) for the development of a banana variety with efficient use of water and a case study with CRISPR/cas9 via gene knock-out PDS (phytoene desaturase) as a model for the species.
