Research, development, and innovation (RD&I) in Barbados nuts (Jatropha curcas L.) for the production of biodiesel This is a broad research project on Barbados nuts, a crop with potential to become raw material for the production of biodiesel and aviation biokerosene. In spite of its high oil production, the plant has not been totally domesticated yet, that is, there are not different recommended cultivars or production systems for each region of the country yet. Intensive farming of tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum) in water recirculation system integrated with cultivation of vegetables for the use of wastewater This project proposes to evaluate and adapt technologies to integrate the intensive cultivation of tambaqui in a recirculation system to produce vegetables through the use of residual waters technology and the use of effluents.
