The general objective is to develop and adapt methods and protocols that make the preservation of germplasm (gametes and embryos) of different species of domestic animals of economic interest more efficient and safe. To do so, it has five action plans, ranging from the search for animal welfare indicators to estimate seminal quality to advanced transcriptome and proteome techniques to identify molecular changes that affect the response to cryopreservation.
