Bachelor's at Agronomia from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1985) and master's at Agronomy from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1989). Has been working as plant pathologist at Embrapa Trigo, Passo Fundo, RS , Brazil, since 1990. Has experience in Agronomy, focusing on Phytopathology, acting on the following subjects: genetic control of soybean diseases (stem canker, brown stem rot, phytophthora root and stem rot, powdery mildew, rust) and powdery mildew of wheat and barley.
