Ana Maria Costa is an agricultural engineer graduated from the University of Brasília (UnB). She is a specialist in Molecular Biology (UnB), a master in Genomic Sciences and Biotechnology from the Catholic University of Brasília and a PhD in Molecular Pathology (UnB). She is a researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa). Coordinator of the Strategic Relationship of the ODS Embrapa Network and the Passitec Network for Technological Development for the Functional and Medicinal Use of Cerrado Plant Species. Manages the memorandum of understanding Embrapa and CEPASS Colombia-SAIC/AJU n 10200.13/0006-9. She is the area editor of the Revista Brasileira de Fruticultura. Coordinates research in agronomy, food science, biotechnology and bioeconomy. She acts as an articulator in structuring production chains with a focus on territorial development. She served as Executive Secretary of the DF Regional of the Brazilian Society of Food Science and Technology (SBCTA-DF) from 2015 to 2024. She served as a Member of the Internal Technical Committee of Embrapa Cerrados from 2022 to 2024. She was a member of the Technical Committee of Embrapa's Macroprogram 3 (CTMP3) and collaborated on CTMP2 from 2008 to 2017. She organized and coordinated the Passiflora Arrangement and Use and Valorization of the Brazilian Passiflora Portfolio at Embrapa from 2013 to 2018.
