Mini-curriculum

Graduated in Agronomy from the University of the State of Santa Catarina (1990), master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2000) and a doctorate in Water Resources and Environmental Sanitation from the Institute of Hydraulic Research (IPH), from the Federal University of Rio Grande of the South (2011). He has worked in the areas of extension and agricultural research at the Agricultural Research and Rural Extension Company of Santa Catarina (EPAGRI) from 1990 to 2002, when he was hired for the position of researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), Research Center of Grape and Wine. He worked from 2006 to 2017 as professor of agronomy at the University of Caxias do Sul (UCS) and since 2018 he has been an external professor at the Postgraduate Program in Precision Agriculture (PPGAP), at the Federal University of Santa Maria. He has experience in the field of Agronomy, with an emphasis on Precision Fruit Growing, and of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering, with an emphasis on Impact Assessment and Environmental Management. He works mainly on the following topics: Precision agriculture / fruit growing, environmental management, environmental impact assessment, environmental risk analysis, integrated apple production and temperate fruit growing.
