Mini-curriculum

Researcher at Embrapa Coffee working at the Capixaba Institute of Research, Technical Assistance, and Rural Extension (INCAPER). Graduated in Biological Sciences (2002), holds a Master's and Ph.D. in Genetics and Breeding (2007) from the Federal University of Viçosa. From 2004 to 2007, worked as a Genetic Improvement and Biotechnology Specialist at Nipo Brasileira Pulp (CENIBRA). From 2007 to 2023, was a researcher at Embrapa Rondônia. He serves as a permanent faculty member in graduate programs in Biodiversity and Biotechnology (BIONORTE Network), Environmental Sciences (PGCA), and Regional Development and Environment (PGDRA). He is responsible for training human resources and teaches courses in Genetics, Breeding, and Statistics. He was vice-coordinator of the Biodiversity and Biotechnology program (BIONORTE Network) and is a member of the advisory board of the Regional Development and Environment program (PGDRA). He also serves as an ad hoc reviewer for journals and the Scientific Initiation Program at UNIR (PIBIC). He works in the fields of Genetics and Breeding and Biometrics. Among his highlights are results on genetic diversity, compatibility, genotype environment interaction, and the development of new cultivars. New methods for compatibility characterization are being used, new cultivars are being planted, and new breeding strategies are being applied to other cultivated species, indicating the adoption of the developed technologies.
